SOMERVILLE - Local (mostly) food blog limeduck has taken up the cause of helping Aguacate Verde in Wilson Square get booze: "As we were leaving, the woman behind the counter asked us to sign a petition in support of their application for a liquor license, which we did, and I encourage you to do the same when you visit Aguacate Verde, which I hope you do soon. The lack of a liquor license can really hurt the dinner business of a place like this." [limeduck]
NYC/TBD - New York City's bar/arcade Barcade is considering a Boston expansion, says Boston Magazine. Founder Paul Kermizian says "Boston is definitely a place that's on the top of our list—not the very top—but in the next few cities we [open bars in], we would like to think of moving there." CAMBRIDGE - Expect some kind of crazy secret burger at the upcoming Harvard Square restaurant Alden & Harlow from chef Michael Scelfo. He tweets: "secret burger will take on a whole new meaning @AldenHarlow..." [Twitter]
