RumBa Grows, Miel Shrinks at InterContinental Boston

Renovations at the InterContinental Boston are in store for two venues located at the hotel: RumBa and Miel. The hotel, which is located near the waterfront and between the Fort Point Channel and the Greenway, is redistributing seating such that RumBa, which opened last June and is sort of short for "rum bar," will pick up space from Miel, a self-described Brasserie Provençale, says Zagat. Also in store: a second bar for RumBa (so RumBaBa?) will open on May 1 with seating for 42. The expanded space "features the same Caribbean motif as the original," says Zagat, and will feature a new bar menu from chef Didier Montarou with sliders and "small bites" plus new drinks. Both Miel and RumBa will stay open through the renovations.
