Fort Point newcomer Tavern Road from the brothers DiBiccari had plans to add a takeout lunch feature dubbed TR Street Foods, and that plan has become a reality. A representative for the restaurant says that TR Street Foods is now operational Monday through Friday from 11AM to 3PM. TR Street Foods is affixed to Tavern Road and, as the name implies, it includes a menu inspired by various street foods around the world, including offerings from the stand-up cuisines of Italy, France, Peru, Spain and Mexico. Salads, sandwiches and snack options will change daily, and items including fresh juices, kebabs, and calzones will also make appearances. The to-go food can be eaten on the premises, even in the Tavern Road dining room "for those looking to spread out with their bagged lunch during business meetings or before heading back to the office." Some sample dishes: steak and cheese pocket with hot peppers and caramelized onions on ciabatta; beef tacos with Mexican cheese and chimichurri; Moroccan turkey kebabs with spring onions, dates and beets; za'atar chicken wings.
