The religiously-themed Jamaica Plain restaurant Centre Street Sanctuary is on the cusp of opening. The restaurant has now shared a few glimpses of the space, which is part of the former Blessed Sacrament church, via Facebook. While Centre Street Sanctuary was hoping for an April 1 opening, earlier this month the restaurant said it planned to open "at the end of the month." Well, that would be tomorrow. A poster on Chowhound reports that they "Walked by Center Street Sanctuary in JP on Saturday and it looked like they were doing staff training so I would assume that they will open shortly." The restaurant's menu will be divided into sections like "In the Beginning," "Creations," and "Temptations" and will feature small plates, entrees with mix-and-match sauces, and a cheese plate with fried cheese. Expect 80 seats, stained glass, a seasonal patio, cocktails and probably some more Biblical puns.
