What was formerly Ginza on Beacon Street in Brookline is now Gyu-Kaku, an outpost of the Japan-based international chain with over 700 locations around the world. What appears to be the newest Gyu-Kaku on the planet has 130 seats and specializes in yakiniku, in which patrons do their own grilling at the table. The restaurant soft-opened on April 13 with limited hours and is now serving dinner from 5PM to 9PM. An employee tells Eater that longer hours will go into effect soon.
