Clover Continues Innovative Vegetarian Domination With Brookline Village Expansion and More in The Works

There's nothing stopping the hip, innovative, tech-savvy vegetarian food purveyors at Clover, which is now opening a new brick and mortar restaurant in Brookline Village. Zagat has that news, saying Clover owner Ayr Muir signed a lease at 10 Harvard Street, not far from Orinoco and Matt Murphy's. And that's not all: Zagat also says that there are "three more [locations] on the docket," which are slated for 354 Newbury Street and at 10 Cambridge Center in Kendall Square, which is, of course, "at the Google building entrance." Clover started as a food truck and continued to enlarge its fleet while adding two brick and mortars in Harvard and Inman Square, plus another in the works for the burbs, in Burlington. Some interesting things about Clover: the company owns no freezers, takes orders and payment via handheld, doesn't always strain its tea leaves and has popularized dishes like sandwiches based on vegetables like fennel and parsnip. Clover also won the 2012 Eater Award for the category of Empire Builder. Yup, that panned out.
