Hungry Mother Wins Another 'Munch Madness'

Every year Boston.com holds a March Madness-esque "tournament" called "Munch Madness" in which readers vote on their favorite area restaurants, and pretty much every year Kendall Square's Southern-inspired favorite Hungry Mother wins. This year was no exception: for the third year in a row, Hungry Mother took the cake, beating out the nearby Oleana in the final bracket. Boston.com also reports that there was some fowl-related trash-talking towards the end. Hungry Mother sent Oleana a turkey, apparently referencing bowling lingo for three consecutive strikes, but the crew at Oleana didn't pick up on the reference. In response, they sent a bird of their own and a note reading "We have no idea what's going on, but here's a quail ? and we're gonna kick your ass!"
