Cask 'n Flagon Reinvents With Barbecue, 'Asian' Stuff

Fenway sports bar Cask n' Flagon has retooled its menu to include "a lineup heavy on slow-smoked Texas-style BBQ, Asian-influenced classics, and craft cocktails mixed with house-infused vodkas" says Thrillist. The changes are being implemented by "a new head chef/award-winning pitmaster." According to the restaurant's website, that would be "Big D." Could the success of its neighbor Sweet Cheeks have anything to do with the inspiration? New to the menu: an appetizer of Malaysian Ribs, Asian Stir-Fry, and a slow-smoked Beef Brisket. Local food writer MC Slim JB seems dubious. "Mmmkay," he tweets.
