New at The Tip Tap Room; A New Beer for Boston

BEACON HILL - chef Brian Poe's Tip Tap Room on Cambridge Street has some new menu items for spring, as of today. Includes non-tip entrees, some springy stuff, mocktails, and new alcoholic mocktails, aka cocktails. See below. [Official Site]

CAMBRIDGE - Boston will get its first taste of the Belgian-style White Birch Beer from New Hampshire tonight, April 11, at Clover HSQ (that's Clover for "Harvard Square") at 8PM. See here for more details. [Official Site]

FORT POINT - There was some confusion as to exactly when Bee's Knees Supply Company by M3 owner Jason Ownes opened, but rest assured, the gourmet food market is indeed open now; in fact, it soft-opened about two weeks ago. While it's a market and not a cafe, there is a deli complete with sandwiches along the lines of the #3, with local first-cut brisket pastrami, baby Swiss, whole grain mustard and pickles. Wagyu Flank Steak: marinated in basil and garlic with spring peas, shiitake mushrooms, bacon-mint risotto, cabernet sauce. ($24.95)
Thai Peanut-Crusted Halibut: roasted fingerling potatoes, coconut-lemongrass broth, grilled baby bok choy. ($26.95)
Pork Porterhouse: basil and onion marinade, avocado, chanterelle mushroom and tomato salsa, mushroom glace. ($24.95)
