New York's Burger Joint May Come to Cambridge

Photo: Daniel Krieger via Eater New York

New York City cult favorite Burger Joint may be headed up north. Eater New York covers the restaurant's expansion from the Parker-Meridien Hotel in midtown to West 8th Street in Greenwich Village and talks with president Steven Pipes of the Jack Parker Corporation, which owns Burger Joint, about the move and about the company's future plans. Burger Joint just opened a location in Seoul, South Korea and is looking to open in Dubai as well, and when asked about further U.S. expansions, Pipes told Eater "To start with, maybe DC, Cambridge — places I know." Hey, it appears to be working for Shake Shack, which also originated in New York City, recently opened in Chestnut Hill, and tells the Herald that it's been selling an average of 1,200 burgers each day.
