Two Boston pastry chefs are up for "The People's Best New Pastry Chef" award from Food & Wine. Monica Glass of Ken Oringer's flagship Clio and Brian Mercury from Harvest in Harvard Square are both in the running, representing Boston in the broad regional category of "East." If one of the two wins the regional selection, they go on for a shot at becoming the national winner. Voting for the crowdsourced award, which debuted last year, goes from now until 5PM on April 8.
