Spirit Bar Reopens As The Dubliner Pub Tonight

After ten years, what has been Spirit Bar at 2046 Mass Ave outside of Porter Square will reopen as The Dubliner Pub tonight. Christy Fitzsimons owned Spirit Bar and remains the owner of the new venue, and he previously told Eater to expect traditional, regional Irish cuisine from the Dublin area, which is his home turf. The bar was slated to open tomorrow, but according to Facebook, things are running slightly ahead of schedule. Fitzsimons says that the chef, menu and decor are all new, and menu teasers on Facebook indicate that dishes like baked smoked cod pie with a mustard cream sauce will be served.
