A second location of Shanti, which was begat in Dorchester twelve years ago, is now open on Washington Street in Roslindale Village. Owner Solmon Chowdhury, who also runs Moksa in Central Square, told Eater that the soft-opening would be on February 27, and an employee confirms that the restaurant is now open for dinner starting at 5PM, though it has yet to add lunch service, which it plans to do soon. Like the original, Shanti Rozzie features both Indian and as well as some Bangladeshi dishes. The extensive menu includes dishes like shaami kebab (ground lamb patties), coconut poori (whole wheat flatbread) and rashmalai: "homemade cheese patties cooked in milk syrup with almond and nuts."
