Bento Café Now Filling Asian-Style Hot Dog Void

Photo: Facebook/Bento Cafe

A new Asian-fusion restaurant called Bento Café is now open on Chestnut Hill Ave in Brighton. A post on Chowhound noticed that Bento Café had opened its doors next to Moogy's, and the new restaurant's Facebook page confirms that it started serving earlier this month, on March 10. "Every food here looks so hugeeee!" notes one Facebook follower. In a fortuitous turn of events, Bento Café is serving Asian-style hot dogs topped with items included shredded nori and daikon radish, just as Fei Fan Eatery disappeared, taking its Japanese-style hot dogs with it. Some promising picks from the rest of the menu: bacon and tomato fried rice, fried sesame shrimp toast, a "Vietnames cold cut sandwich" (banh mi), and of course several bento boxes, including miso salmon and shitake string beans varieties.
