Nadia Spellman tells Eater that she is indeed planning to continue the family practice of running a Chinese restaurant in Boston as her mother once did with Sally Ling's. "I come from a family of restaurateurs and am excited to keep the tradition going," says Spellman, who previously told the Globe that she intended to open her own place and "to bring back some of those traditional flavors" from Sally Ling's, the upscale, Waterfront restaurant that opened in Boston in 1984 before relocating to Jersey and then closing in recent years. "My concept will be a more modern approach on traditional home-style Chinese food, not as fancy as mom's restaurant on the waterfront," she says. Stay tuned.
