Channel Cafe Closes in Fort Point, Will Move to Newton

The Channel Cafe on Summer Street in Fort Point closed at the end of last month, says Grub Street. However, it plans to live on as a new restaurant called Verrine on Washington Street in Newtonville. Grub Street hears that Verrine will be "more elaborate" in comparison and plans to open this spring. The Channel Cafe served breakfast and lunch on weekdays and featured items such as in-house granola and five-spice salmon salad on rice noodles, plus beer, wine, Barismo coffee and coffee drinks.
