The Boston-based national seafood chain Legal Sea Foods is "in talks to open a new restaurant concept" at the still-in-construction Millenium Place tower in Downtown Crossing, says the Herald. Another variation on the Legal theme would certainly be welcome and could prove a pilot for similar ventures around the country. As is, there's the standard concept, found at locations including the Charles Hotel, Legal Test Kitchen in the Seaport and the airport, the more upscale and experimental Legal Harborside, also in the Seaport, and the Legal C Bar slated for Somerville's Assembly Row. The Herald previously reported that there would be a restaurant here but also quoted Legal Sea Foods CEO and well-known kale drinker Roger Berkowitz as saying that he was "tempted" but not yet ready to think about opening in Downtown Crossing. Apparently, he's feeling more ready.
Question: if Legal were to go in a new direction, what do you think it would be?
