New Ice Cream; Will Boston Chops Soft-Open Tomorrow?

SOUTH END - Neighborhood blogger BosGuy, who thus far has had something of an inside track on the upcoming steakhouse Boston Chops, says the restaurant might soft-open as soon as tomorrow. He writes: "While there is no formal notice that Boston Chops will open Saturday, March 2nd, all signs point to a soft opening this weekend." [BosGuy]

CAMBRIDGE - For the first time, Rialto at the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square will not be participating in Restaurant Week. Instead, the restaurant will continue to feature its standard Piccolo menu, a three-course fixed price offering for $40. [Official Sit]
