The imminent Fort Point restaurant Blue Dragon by celebrity chef Ming Tsai, who also runs Blue Ginger in Wellesley, has finally shared an opening date: Monday, February 11. That news comes via an article in today's Herald and is confirmed as "scheduled" by a representative for the restaurant. The article also quotes Tsai as humbly saying "It's easy to say no one does this type of food." The chef-owner-TV personality has described Blue Dragon as an "Asian gastropub," and dishes will include "Indonesian curried lamb shepherd's pie, panko-crusted fish and chips with black vinegar tartar sauce, Asian sloppy joe sliders, Korean chicken wings with fresh kimchee and soy glaze and Japanese sweet potato chips." Previous estimates put the seat count at 75, though the Herald now says 80.
UPDATE: Blue Dragon will actually open on February 13.
And apparently Guy Fieri is to thank for the fries. Previously, the Blue Dragon space was the A Street Deli. Stay tuned for further Blue Dragon updates and send any of your own to the tipline.
