Irish Social Club of Boston is Back, Nemo Drinking Game

WEST ROXBURY - The Irish Social Club of Boston is once again open after closing in April of 2011. The club now has a permanent liquor license, which means it can serve alcohol seven days a week til 1AM and host events. The Boston Irish Reporter says the club once had 15,000 members: now, it's more like 800. [Boston Irish Reporter]

SOUTH END - After the upcoming epic Blizzard Bash (how appropriate) there will be an afterparty hosted by the Barbara Lynch Foundation and ABV. All proceeds from The Industry Thing (that's the party) go to the hunger relief organization Lovin' Spoonfuls. Expect to find a host of local and visiting chefs, 80's-themed cocktails, barbecue and live music. Friday Feb 8, 6PM to 10PM at the Villa Victoria Center for the Arts. See here for more information and for tickets. UPDATE: Note the updated times. [Official Site]

HUB-WIDE - Here's another way to prepare for winter storm Nemo: play this drinking game from UniversalHUB. "A reporter makes a snowball. Take a drink. Follow with a quick shot if he/she throws it at the cameraperson." And here's a bunch of bars with fireplaces and then some more. [UH, Foursquare via UH, BI]
