Kung Fu Tea of New York City opened a shop on Harvard Ave in Allston this past weekend, says Boston.com. Eater previously reported that Kung Fu Tea was headed for Chinatown, which it is, but now it's clear that the company has bigger plans for Boston. The Kung Fu Tea website indicates that a grand opening took place on February 22 and Yelpers have been quick to extol its virtues, noting that the shop is cash only for the time being, though credit cards appear to be in its immediate future.
And what does Kung Fu Tea serve? All kinds of crazy stuff that stretches the definition of tea. Most of this is bubble tea, but there's also regular tea, coffee drinks, slushes and some intriguing beverages including Ginger Wow Milk and Fig Jelly Iced Tea. Could more locations be in store for Boston? Stay tuned and send any intel of your own to the tipline.
