Lazziz Fine Indian Cuisine on Main Street in Watertown has closed, says Boston Restaurant Talk, citing evidence from Yelp and Twitter plus the fact that the restaurant's phone line isn't working (a recording asks if you want to be connected to the Olive Garden). Lazziz opened in 2009, says BRT, in what was formerly La Casa De Pedro, which has since relocated to Arsenal Street. Rumor has it that a Thai restaurant may be moving in. Some Lazziz menu items that won't easily be replacable nearby: carrot soup, dahi wada (lentil dumplings) and "chilly" (chili?) panner with soy sauce. Prophetic observation on Yelp: "The restaurant itself always seems to be empty."
