The defunct Central Square nightclub ManRay will indeed reopen, says Boston.com. Owner Don Holland will be bringing the club back to its old neighborhood in what was formerly a Blockbuster video store, as he had tentatively planned to do. ManRay opened in 1985 and closed in 2005 when its former home turned into condos. The new, smaller ManRay plans to serve alcohol until 2AM and will now have a restaurant, which it did not before. The club was known for ongoing events such as fetish and goth nights, some of which lived on in spaces like T.T. The Bear's and The Ramrod. Expect a fall re-opening.
