SOUTH END - Roman newcomer Cinquecento will be launching brunch service starting this weekend on both Saturday and Sunday from 10:00AM to 3:00PM. On the menu: uova in camicia (truffled polenta with poached eggs and Fontina), bistecca e uova (steak and eggs with Pecorino biscuits and piquillo pepper marmellata) and ricotta crespella (crepes with whipped lemon ricotta and honey). Brunch cocktails will include the Arancia Frizzante (blood orange juice, vodka, lime, soda water, mint simple syrup) and a Bloody Mary with peperoncini. See below for the full menu. [Official Site]
BACK BAY - If Restoration Hardware gets the okay from the city, it will indeed feature a restaurant at its upcoming Berkeley Street store in the former Museum of Natural History building. A license board official says "they'll have a level where you can sit down on their own patio furniture and have beer or wine and some small bites" [BH]
KENMORE SQUARE - The Hotel Commonwealth is getting a Starbucks. Wait, isn't there already one somewhere around there? Oh yes. Notes the Boston Business Journal: "The new 300-square-foot location at the Hotel Commonwealth is across from the Starbucks in the Barnes & Noble... and up the street from another Starbucks on the Boston University campus and another at the Trilogy building on nearby Brookline Avenue."
