The Fort Point restaurant Blue Dragon by celebrity chef Ming Tsai of Blue Ginger in Wellesley and the PBS show Simply Ming has pushed back its opening date from today to February 13. Why the delay? Oh, just enough snow to create a state of emergency. A recent tweet from Blue Dragon says "The date is now Wednesday. Nemo..." Tsai has described Blue Dragon as an "Asian gastropub" and says to expect a casual vibe at the 80-seat restaurant. The opening is significant for the chef, who has long been a big presence in the area but has never had a restaurant actually located in the city of Boston.
Update: Per a press release, once it's open, Blue Dragon's regular hours will be Monday through Saturday from 11:30AM to 1:00AM with the kitchen closing at midnight. There won't be reservations, so seating will be first come first serve.
