Griddler's to Bring More Burgers to Back Bay

Boston Nightlife Ventures (Forum, the soon-to-open Blind Tiger, and more) has been planning for awhile to oepn more locations of its Beacon Hill casual burger spot, Griddler's Burgers and Dogs. Now, according to a press release, a Back Bay location is officially on the way, slated to open at 134 Boylston St. in January. It will serve as a "prototype," ostensibly for further expansion, with an "updated logo, new design for the interior and additions to the menu."

The current menu focuses, as expected, on burgers and hot dogs, with options like the Firehouse Griddler (pickled cherry peppers, chipotle mayo, hot sauce, pepper jack cheese, & lettuce) and the Boston Dog (baked beans, barbecue sauce, onion rings). There are also chicken sandwiches, salads, and shakes (including fun cereal-based flavors, like Frosted Flakes and Froot Loops). In June, owner Euz Azevedo told Eater that three new locations were on the way, so stay tuned for at least a couple more.

UPDATE: Boston Restaurant Talk points out that the location was until very recently home to one of two Four Burgers locations.
