The long-awaited La Brasa is set to open in early spring, at least according to a Thrillist round-up of upcoming openings. The Peruvian chicken restaurant-to-be comes from Sel de la Terre's Daniel Bojorquez and Frank McClelland, but the lease at 130 Broadway was signed almost two full years ago, leaving chicken fans to wonder just when it would materialize.
In August, a rep for McClelland told Eater that they "are really excited but still awaiting some construction updates," and Bojorquez appeared at Lovin' Spoonfuls' Ultimate Tailgate event in late October under the La Brasa name, so hopefully those are indicators that the project is indeed picking up steam. Meanwhile, the final remaining Sel de la Terre, which is in Natick, will close on January 1st.
