BACK BAY — The Salty Pig, known primarily for its pig preparations (and other charcuterie), is launching a new pasta program, featuring a rotating array of house-made pastas, which it'll also share with sister restaurants Canary Square and Coda Bar & Kitchen. And on Sundays (dubbed "Red Sauce Sundays,") there will be red-checkered tablecloths, Sinatra, and dishes reminiscent of old school Italian restaurants. [Press Release]
THEATRE DISTRICT — A downtown club, Gypsy Bar, has reinvented itself under the name Whisky Saigon, and it will have a grand reopening on Saturday, November 16th. A press release promises "the most innovative club experience in the city," plus "feminine international beauty." Find out what exactly that means with a $20 ticket to the launch party. [Eventbrite]
FORT POINT — The 4th annual Local Craft Brewfest, a fundraiser for the Boston Local Food Festival, is right around the corner. Originally scheduled to take place at the Moakley Courthouse during the government shutdown, it was moved to Friday, November 22nd (still at the Courthouse). A $45 ticket (or $85 for a pair) gets attendees three and a half hours of unlimited tastings of beers, ciders, and other craft beverages, plus some bites of food. [Eventbrite]
