Thanksgivukkah Dinner; Here Comes the Wienermobile

HUB-WIDE — In a press release riddled with literally every hot dog pun imaginable, Oscar Mayer announced that Boston-area folks can "ketchup" (ugh) with the Wienermobile for photos, coupons, and "iconic Wiener Whistles" at several Massachusetts sites this week: the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Worcester, Northborough, and Walpole (November 7th, 8th, and 10th respectively, from noon to 5pm) and at Hanscom Air Force Base on November 9th from 10am to 2pm. NORTH END — This Sunday night, November 10th, head to Whisk at 351 Hanover St. for an early celebration of Thanksgivukkah, the once-in-a-lifetime occurrence of the first night of Chanukah coinciding with Thanksgiving. It won't happen again for another 80,000 years. Hosted by Kitchen Kibitz, a "pop-up dining experience focused on modern Jewish cuisine," the Thanksgivukkah dinner features a Thanksgiving-meets-Chanukah dinner by chef Josh Lewin of Beacon Hill Bistro. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased online. [Eventbrite]

ARLINGTON — Tom Acitelli, editor of Eater Boston's sister site, Curbed Boston, and author of The Audacity of Hops: The History of America's Craft Beer Revolution, will speak on Thursday night at the Regent Theatre in Arlington as part of the local premiere of a documentary called The Beer Hunter, which highlights the life of the late Michael Jackson — the beer critic, not the pop star. There will, of course, be beer. [Official Site]
