Sarma, the new sibling to Cambridge's much beloved Oleana, opened in Somerville a month ago. A relatively short walk uphill from the bustle of Union Square's growing restaurant scene, the new Winter Hill restaurant occupies the space of a former neighborhood pub called The Paddock. Sarma boasts a wide-open facade with huge windows, a stark contrast from the former occupant's small-windowed brick exterior. Inside, there are twinkling bare light bulbs hanging from purple, green, and blue cords; elaborate lamps and decorative hanging plates; and other Middle Eastern-style details that complement the food, which is inspired by cuisine from Turkey and beyond. Here's a look inside.
