BACK BAY — It's almost time for the next installment of The Salty Pig's monthly Porkapalooza event, where executive chef Kevin O'Donnell and chef Michael Lombardi Jr. battle a visiting chef to see who will reign supreme making a dish from one specific pig part. On Monday, December 2nd, Tim Maslow (Ribelle, Strip-T's) will compete, and the pig part is fatback. $100 will be donated to a charity of the winner's choice. Spectators can get in for $27.50, which includes a beverage and a taste of the piggy dishes. [Eventbrite]
HUB-WIDE — Still don't have plans for tomorrow? Consult the updated #OpenInBOS list to see what's open when and who's serving what. [~EBOS~]
SOUTH BOSTON — Local 149 is closing out November with a Movember Must Ache Bash on the 30th, raising awareness and money to support men's health. There will be complimentary appetizers between 10pm and midnight, $5 drink specials all night, and a $400 prize for the best 'stache — real or creative. The cover is $5, which the Neighborhood Restaurant Group will match. [Official Site]
