Wage Wire

bob%20luz%20150px%20-%20katie%20chudy.jpgEarlier this month, the Massachusetts Senate passed a bill to raise the minimum wage from $8 to $11 over the next three years — and with it, to raise the minimum pay for tipped employees (like waiters) from $2.63 to $5.50. The bill still needs to work its way through the House; meanwhile, the Massachusetts Restaurant Association is figuring out a strategy to fight what it sees as an unreasonable increase.
