There's a new lounge in town, opening tonight, and it wants to ply you with vintage cocktails, a nightly DJ, "small bites," board games, and "no attitude." Located in the Nine Zero Hotel downtown, Highball Lounge has everything from Battleship and Guess Who? to a hashtagged cocktail, #DuckieRosé, which comes with a "special friend." As the name suggests and as UrbanDaddy reports, yep, it's a rubber ducky.
Word on the Facebook street is that Ken Oringer (whose now-shuttered restaurant KO Prime used to be at the hotel) collaborated on the menu. There are only ten items available, and they're meant to be snacks, but there's lots of fun packed into that short list: tater tot nachos, Korean fried chicken nuggets, a $6 "surf and turf" with chicharones and shrimp chips, and more. Highball Lounge is open from 5pm to 2am on Wednesday through Saturday.
