BRIO Tuscan Grille Opens Today

Photo: Katie Chudy

It's opening day for BRIO Tuscan Grille, an Italian-style chain with locations across the country. The more than 6,000-square-foot space is at one of the new Chestnut Hill developments, Chestnut Hill Square, and it's the first BRIO in Massachusetts; the closest one is in Hartford, Connecticut. There are no huge surprises on the menu, but those avoiding gluten will appreciate the large gluten-free selection, which includes pasta. There's also a "light" menu with marked calorie counts, all of which are under 550. The marble-accented space fits 235 indoors, while 40 can eat on a terrace when weather permits. Here's a look inside.
