A New Petsi Pies Could Be in the Works

Petsi Pies is eyeing 441 Cambridge St. in Cambridge for a new location, reports a Chowhound user, citing a licensing hearing agenda. The space is between Inman Square and Lechmere, fairly close to popular shops like New Deal Fish Market and Mayflower Poultry (aka "Live Poultry Fresh Killed.") According to the agenda, there would be 15-20 seats.

Petsi Pies' original location is on Beacon St. in Somerville, near the temporarily shuttered Zoe's Chinese and Mixtura. A second Petsi location on Cambridge's Putnam Avenue was bought by Darwin's Ltd. in late 2012, and the Petsi lease will run out in 2015, at which point Darwin's will open its own new location in the space. Owner Renee McLeod told the Harvard Crimson in December 2012 that she "she hope[d] to replace the Putnam Ave. café with a different second address," so it appears that Cambridge St. will be the new number two once Putnam is out of her hands. McLeod also owns Tupelo in Inman Square.
