Arrivederci to Piccola Venezia

Photo: Foursquare

As previously rumormongered, Piccola Venezia, a 32-year-old restaurant in the North End, has closed. Boston Restaurant Talk confirms the news via a photo posted on Twitter that shows a sign in the window reading: "After 32 years we have closed our doors. Thank you to all our loyal customers over the years."

Located at 263 Hanover St., the restaurant offered a standard North End combination of pasta dishes, seafood and meat entrees, and desserts like tiramisu and cannoli. Perennial favorite Modern Pastry is right next door, and rumor has it that it might be taking over the restaurant's space. Hit up the tipline with any intel.
