Popular food truck Pennypacker's officially opened their Somerville restaurant on Saturday, and here is the menu from opening day. "We were paying so much for a commissary, why not have a cooking space we could sell out of as well?" explained owner Ryan McGuire, echoing the sentiments of other food truck operators who have gone brick and mortar in recent months. McGuire says the Magoun Square location "fell into my lap," and "the rent is great." The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. The menu will change seasonally — four or five times a year — and will feature specials that reflect the daily changing menu on the truck. The signature porchetta will always be on the menu, he promises.
