"I was working one day and someone ordered a "Campari Americano." I had never heard of an alcoholic drink called an Americano, so I assumed it was just the coffee drink...I put down the coffee and a shot of Campari thinking it was a really strange combination. The guy finished, paid, and said everything was great when I asked how his drink was. The next day I was telling a coworker that I thought it was such an odd thing to drink, and she immediately started laughing and told me an Americano is a classic — sweet vermouth, Campari, and club soda. I felt so bad that the guy never corrected me and worse, drank the whole thing. Needless to say I will never forget what goes in it now." — Sarah Baker, Bar Manager at Towne Stove and Spirits, on embarrassing stories
