50-year-old Anthony's Pier 4 closed in July to make way for development of the pier, but that development is going to take another two or three years. In the meantime, the developers are interested in possibly plunking a temporary restaurant down on the former Anthony's space to fill the gap while everything else is in the works. New England Development "has been in talks" with some restaurateurs regarding the "prime" site, the Herald reports, but there's no solid plan yet. If a restaurant were to pop up there, it'd likely open this spring.
