Ward 8, State Park Both Inch Closer to Opening

Ward 8 — a new restaurant and cocktail bar named for the drink of the same name — is nearing its opening date. This, according to an Instagram photo of the bar that was posted over the weekend with the hashtag "#almostthere." The owner will be Nicholas Frattaroli, whose relatives own multiple restaurants in the neighborhood including Lucia Ristorante, Filipo's Ristorante, and Ducali Pizzeria & Bar. Ward 8 will occupy the former Nebo space in the North End

Also gearing up for opening is State Park — the Kendall Square restaurant taking over the former Think Tank space. Boston Restaurant Talk spotted a Craigslist post indicating they would be interviewing line cooks this Friday. State Park is the second restaurant from Barry Maiden of Hungry Mother.
