Back in May 2012, Jennifer Pittore (formerly of the shuttered Sage in the South End) tantalized North End residents with thoughts of a new pizza shop, a cozy 18-seater that would serve "gourmet pizzas and hot and cold appetizers." Well, now it's here. Thrillist reports that Locale opened "recently," a "bright and open" space that "showcases Italian pie benchmarks."
The restaurant has shared a menu on its Facebook page; pizza options include white clam, a sausage and broccoli rabe combo, and cacio e pepe, among others. Other than pizza, there are a few salads and starters, like oven-baked meatballs and marinated olives.
