Tunnel opened earlier this month in the former Descent space below the W Hotel, giving club-goers a space to drink and dance under 65,000 bright combinations of 3,600 floating LED fixtures. As the name suggests, Tunnel is long, narrow, and underground, accessible from a "discreet" street-level entrance which leads to guests' choice of a "modern staircase" or the more romantic "mirrored private elevator."
The cocktail list pays homage to Boston tunnels with names like "The Big Dig" and "The Callahan." On the much higher end, the Louis XIII de Rémy Martin comes with a gift: an iPad. The 200-capacity club was designed by Sousa Design Architects; the firm has also collaborated with Tunnel partner Brian Lesser on a number of other projects around town, such as Storyville.
