"Sources telling me that the Hilltop was basically looted of anything with a Hilltop name from menus to silverware to things torn off walls," Phantom Gourmet's Dave Andelman posted on Facebook yesterday, joking, one would hope. "Building may be knocked down."

Whether or not looting actually occurred, a few Hilltop Steak House items have indeed made their way onto Ebay over the last few days — but they don't appear to be recent acquisitions. There's a set of nine cocktail glasses from the 70s, for example, and the bidding's currently at $41. They have been "in storage for over 20 years." And one seller has a couple of 60s-era plates currently at $22.50 and $23.50; they're shipping from Alabama, so they probably weren't looted this week. As for this vintage Hilltop matchbook, you're too late. The restaurant is set to close after more than 50 years on October 20th.
