Any whales who made a habit of slumming with the regulars at Night Games, the club at Somerville's Holiday Inn, will now have to go elsewhere. Boston.com reports that the club won't reopen after racking up 13 violations. The straw that broke the club's back was a recent fight involving up to 12 women, which resulted in the temporary closure that has now gone permanent. A spokesperson for the hotel tells Boston.com "That chapter of the hotel is gone for good" and notes the the club space has already been turned into a "private function room." The club made its own decision to close, though the city had reduced its occupancy, barred it from serving booze until the end of next month, and demanded that it close two hours early for the next two years. Rather than soldier on as a neutered version of its former self, Night Games opted to take itself into the night.
