Furniture Shakeup at The No. 9 Park Bar

No. 9 Park bar manager Ted Kilpatrick tells Eater that significant changes have been made to the famed Beacon Hill restaurant's bar area. Earlier this month, three of the lower tables were swapped out for bar-height tables, and the white linen tops have been traded for dark wood, he says.

Kilpatrick said that the change was made to allow for more flexibility for party sizes among walk-ins, and he reports that patrons say the new setup feels like more of an extension of the bar itself. The bar at No. 9 Park, which is owned by Barbara Lynch, was recently voted the best cocktail bar in Boston by Eater readers. Now, it's a little better.
