North End restaurateur Carla Gomes, whose ventures include Antico Forno and Terramia Ristorante, is now planning to open Cobblestone Cafe in what was until recently Hot Tomatoes. It's not official yet, but Gomes has received approval from the North End neighborhood council and is planning to offer "take-out / delivery and a menu of sandwiches, burgers, salads, wraps, kabobs and casual fare" says NorthEndWaterfront.com.

The site also reports that Gomes is looking to add 10 new seats and is hoping to serve from 7:00am to 11:00pm Sunday through Thursday with a Friday and Saturday closing time of Midnight. "Seems a lot like Pauli's on Salem which is decent for takeout," notes a post on Chowhound.
