Original UFood Grill Closes; Brasstacks Returns

WATERTOWN - The first ever location of UFood Grill has now closed. Thanks to an Eater tipster for the heads up; a call to the restaurant confirms that it shuttered on December 31. The company recently declared bankruptcy and suggested that this location and the one in Fenway might be on the chopping block. [EBOS]

PROVIDENCE - A new "plant based restaurant" called The Grange plans to open in March, according to Craigslist. So does plant-based mean vegetarian? Perhaps not: "We are a community centered ,locally sourced , seasonal and 95% plant based concept working out of a very vintage , repurposed industrial interior with farm table , couches and cafe seating for the community to find a new home in." The other five percent: bacon? [Craigslist]

BROOKLINE - The Washington Square Tavern will be the site of the next event for the traveling supper club experience known as Brasstacks. This time, an 8-year-old dairy cow aged for 90 days provides inspiration for a nose-to-tail meal. Tickets go on sale tomorrow morning: check Facebook for details. [Facebook]
