Looks like Southie, Fort Point, and SOWA residents are in for a hot, meaty treat: KO Catering Pies announced yesterday that they'll begin delivering to those neighborhoods. The tiny South Boston restaurant is known for its Australian specialties, particularly meat pies, and it recently spawned a larger sister restaurant in East Boston, KO Pies at the Shipyard. Delivery already existed on a larger scale (hence the "catering" in the Southie location's name), but now they'll put "sausage rolling champ" Ryan Cahill on a bike for orders with a minimum of just $25. (In case you were wondering, you would only need to order five classic meat pies to exceed the minimum.) Delivery's available on weeknights from 5:30 PM to 8 PM, and there's no additional charge, although you should definitely "take care of [Ryan] for riding in this shite." In response to hungry Facebookers asking for a wider delivery radius, KO responded, "Once we get up and running we may explore expanding the zone." So hold tight, lady from Natick. One day, you too might be able to have meat pies delivered to your door.
