Water's End Park at Long Wharf Might Get a Restaurant

Water's End Park at the end of Long Wharf might become the site of a new restaurant, says Boston.com. And not everyone likes the idea. According to the article, the Boston Redevelopment Authority "has drafted plans to build a bar/restaurant at the location, prompting several residents to file a legal motion to Massachusetts Superior Court." The reporter gathered input from visitors to the park, which is near the New England Aquarium, and reactions range from "I don't think I'd like that at all" to "I would be 100% against that." Most say they prefer the park as one of precious few quiet, public urban spaces. Then again, a new restaurant! How would you feel about it?

Update: Boston Restaurant Talk shares that the Boston.com article could be referring to a planned restaurant called Doc's Long Wharf, a project by the team behind The Paramount(s) and the upcoming Lincoln Bar & Restaurant. See here for backstory on the legal proceedings that have halted the process. [BRT, North End Waterfront]
