Blue Dragon, the upcoming Fort Point restaurant by Blue Ginger chef and Simply Ming star Ming Tsai, is shooting for a January opening. The Improper Bostonian cites that timeframe in a recent profile of the chef, saying "Blue Dragon is scheduled to open by January in Boston's thrumming Seaport District." The story describes the upcoming restaurant as an "Asian gastropub," pins the number of seats at 75 and quotes Tsai with a preview of some dishes: "our version of fish 'n' chips, hacked Peking duck, our oysters with sauce like wasabi mignonette, Indonesian curry shepherd's pie." The January opening should please Tsai's feng shui master, who previously suggested the restaurant open before the close of the year of the water dragon, which ends in February 2013. Blue Dragon will occupy the space that was formerly the A Street Deli.
